Overview
The City of Newark, TX has adopted the following codes:
- The International Building Code, 2015 edition. Code of Ordinances, City of Newark, TX § 3.03.102 (amendments).
- The International Residential Code, 2015 edition. Code of Ordinances, City of Newark, TX § 3.03.152 (amendments).
According to the City Secretary, all local amendments are based on the Regional Recommended Amendments by the NCTCOG.

Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of
